Children play and grow at Kidzone After School Daycare

We provide child care for children of the Comox Valley aged Kindergarten to 11 years old

Kidzone provides a fun, nurturing, and most of all safe environment for the children of the Comox Valley area to spend their day. Our well-trained, dedicated staff knows the importance of communication with parents to ensure that each child is having the best possible day care experience.

Our Centre

Our centre is full of children of all ages and different developmental levels. We provide toys, opportunities, and a safe environment for all children to gain skills that will benefit them through out their lives. Most of all, we want your child to enjoy their time with us at Kidzone After School Daycare.

Our Philosophy and Goals

As childcare providers we believe all children deserve and are entitled to a safe, nurturing and respectful environment to learn in. We work to provide every child with optimum opportunity to develop physically, emotionally, intellectually and socially. Each child comes from a family with a different set of beliefs and values. At Kidzone we respect all families and work together with the parents to have successful supportive relationships. The best way to learn is through play. Our Mission

At Kidzone, we recognize that each child comes from a family with a different set of beliefs and values. We make it a priority to respect all families and work together with the parents to create successful, supportive relationships.

We have found that the best way to learn is through play, and we wholeheartedly encourage that.

Our Staff

The core staff at Kidzone has completed training in the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECE) program or achieved the designation of Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA).

Others have additional training in special needs and/or infant toddler care. We encourage our staff to continue their educations through various workshops.

Throughout the year we sometimes have practicum students from the college coming into our centre. These students are enrolled in the Early Childhood Care and Education program and are working towards their certificate. They interact with the children, provide activities and help with the daily routine.

All staff including volunteers, substitutes, responsible adults and practicum students are required to have a Criminal Record Check on file.
